1,000 Shell-Branded Stations Now Equipped with EMV Technology

Shell announced today more than 1,000 of its retail sites now offer outdoor EMV technology. This technology is designed to reduce fraud and protect personal information while fueling up.

It is now less than a year until the fuel dispenser counterfeit fraud liability shift instituted by the card brands goes into effect on October 1, 2020.
