ProPILOT Coming to 2018 Nissan LEAF
Nissan teased us with another bit of exciting information on the 2018 LEAF. Advanced ProPILOT Assist technology will be offered, taking over some of the mundane parts of the driving equation.
ProPILOT Assist supports the driver by helping control acceleration, braking and steering during single-lane driving on the highway. Commuters will rejoice as it’s a large step forward in changing the way our society will commute.
The LEAF, under the right conditions, will be able to drive on its own in an highway environment. Nissan says that as the technology develops, navigating city streets will also be a capability of the system.
Of course, the system has to be engaged through a button on the steering wheel and can also be disengaged in the same manner.
We expect the 2018 LEAF to feature Nissan’s latest design direction using V-motion and swift, sporty styling. Technology will be at the forefront, with all the latest offerings along with a longer range battery.
Stay tuned for updates as they’re made available.
