2020 Highlander Priced, Impressive Fuel Economy Revealed

The 2020 Toyota Highlander is a big deal for Toyota. Not only is it incredibly popular, but it’s in one of the most competitive segments in the auto industry.

While the last generation wasn’t lacking, it definitely wasn’t ahead of the competition. That changes now with the totally redesigned Highlander. Priced at $34,600, the 2020 Highlander L is the base front-wheel drive version that comes very well equipped.

Trim levels now range from L, LE, XLE, Limited, and Platinum. Hybrid powertrains start at LE, and all can be had with AWD for about a $1000-2000 premium depending on trim level.

What really impresses is the nearly 24% improvement in fuel economy over the previous Highlander Hybrid AWD, resulting in a fuel economy rating of 35 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined! These used to be compact car ratings, unfathomable for a larger crossover with AWD.

The level of tech is astounding as well, with all the active safety goodies that we all want, standard.

Pricing is as follows, and excludes the DPH fee to get it from the Princeton, Indiana factory and to your local dealer.
