Apple Working on Major Autonomous Tech

Tim Cook, Apple CEO, announced during the most recent call with investors that the company is working on autonomous technology. It sounds like Apple is producing something very critical and life-changing, akin to the iPhone.

Cook explained that Apple is “making a big investment in autonomous systems” and called autonomous tech “the mother of all AI projects.” Cook said, “Apple has a large project going on revolving around autonomy.”

We’ve seen Apple Maps Ford Transit Connect vehicles all over the country, collecting images and LiDAR mapping data.

“Autonomous systems can be used in a variety of ways. A vehicle is only one, but there are many different areas of it. And I don’t want to go any further with that,” he said.
